Cancelation Policy

Effective Date: 15/02/2026

At Mirkado Market, we aim to provide flexibility and transparency for both buyers and vendors, especially when handling perishable items like fresh food and cooked meals. This Cancellation Policy explains how orders can be canceled, each party's responsibilities, and the timelines for action.

Order Cancellation Overview

Buyers can cancel orders under certain conditions, depending on the product type and the stage of preparation or shipping. Because Mirkado includes fresh and cooked food, cancellation rules are stricter to prevent waste and ensure vendor fairness.

Cancellation Guidelines

1. Fresh Food Orders

  • Before Preparation or Dispatch: Buyers may cancel fresh food orders up to 2 hours after placing the order if the vendor has not yet prepared the items.

  • After Preparation or Dispatch: Cancellation is generally not allowed once preparation begins or the order is handed over to the delivery partner due to the perishable nature of the products.

2. Cooked Food Orders

  • Before Preparation: Buyers may cancel cooked food orders up to 30 minutes after placing the order, depending on vendor confirmation.

  • After Preparation: Cancellation is not permitted once the cooking process starts. Cooked food cannot be returned for safety reasons.

How to Cancel an Order

  1. Log in to your Mirkado account.

  2. Navigate to Order History.

  3. Select the order you wish to cancel.

  4. Submit a cancellation request through the provided option.

Cancellation requests are subject to verification. Orders already dispatched or in preparation may not be eligible for cancellation.

Refunds for Canceled Orders

  • Eligible Cancellations: Refunds will be processed through the original payment method once the cancellation is approved.

  • Ineligible Cancellations: Orders that have entered preparation or dispatch cannot be refunded.

Refunds may take 3–7 business days to appear, depending on the payment provider.

Vendor Responsibility

Vendors are responsible for:

  • Confirming order status promptly to allow buyers the opportunity to cancel when eligible

  • Communicating any constraints that may affect cancellation timelines

  • Ensuring that fresh and cooked food orders are prepared only after the appropriate confirmation period

Buyer Responsibility

Buyers must:

  • Submit cancellation requests within the allowed timeframes

  • Ensure accurate order details before placing orders

  • Understand that cancellations after preparation cannot be honored

Exceptions

Certain promotions, flash sales, or vendor-specific conditions may have stricter cancellation rules. These will be clearly indicated on the product listing.
